We keep track each night, of all costs for each job in a separate job ledger (you can view a sample by clicking Sample Job Ledger at left).
It shows total man hours worked each day, Bob-Cat hours, each bill for materials is
entered as purchased or received in, and will show other direct costs like sub-contractor
bills, permits, rental of special equipment, diamond blades used. It also has a spot
for refunds and returns, for materials we did not use up and the like.
At the end of the job or every few weeks on longer jobs you will be
given this ledger so you can see how we accounted for our time, and to see how the cost of
the project is proceeding.
Upon the completion of the project to your satisfaction, we take the totals
from the job ledger and apply them to a bill. (you can view a sample
by clicking Sample Bill at left) You will receive a
copy of each personally or by mail payment is upon receipt.
Our charges for work signed after
March 15th, 2008 are as

New construction rates typically start at $110.00 per sq
ft.
Square foot building costs are dependent on type and style of home , and level
of finish. We use a standard
builders contract with allowances for flooring, cabinets .... and an agreed upon draw schedule.
We will work with you to determine your wants and tastes to ensure that the
allowances for cabinets, flooring, lighting, fixtures and the like will reflect
as close as possible the final costs.
Custom designs with complete sets of prints for foundation, framing,
plumbing, electrical, lot plans, elevation views, floor plans ... start at $1500.00, and
are cost
dependent on size and complexity.
We will give you the cost of designing your home up front after a
consultation to determine the design parameters, then if we build that home for
you in the first year we will put half the design costs toward the labor of the
home.
