 | Elite's estimates (see a sample
estimate below) breaks everything down by item and shows the
cost for each material and service to be used.
|
 | We estimate man hours based on project type, industry standards
and history on similar projects. The hourly rate we
will be charging is shown. Estimates for subcontracted items such as electricians,
plumbers, excavators, etc. will also be shown, and we charge you what they
charge us. These subcontractors hired by Elite will
answer to Elite and we accept responsibility for their performance.
|
 | Essentially, we work by time and material, on most estimates
there will be in the note section a not to exceed man hours labor
shown. We also pass on discounts so you pay what we pay for materials.
New construction will be done using an industry standard builders contract.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MATERIAL COSTS LISTED ARE AS OF
THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE AND ARE SUBJECT TO INCREASES BY THE VARIOUS VENDERS
AND ARE GENERALLY ONLY GOOD FOR 30 DAYS.
|
 | You pay only for the man hours worked on your project. We give you a job ledger at the
end of the job (you can see one at "how we do
billing") showing each purchase, costs and hours worked logged
each night. This ledger is provided every few weeks on big projects so you can see how we and the costs are
progressing.
As mentioned above, in most cases, we will give a maximum man hours threshold that
will be charged. If we estimate the max hrs at 20 and we use 18 you
only pay for those 18 hours, if we used 22 you would pay 20 man hours of
labor at the rate specified.
We will only go over that limit if changes or additions are made by the
customer or a major problems arise (i.e., finding rot during remodeling) requiring additional work.
|
 | When you sign up for a project we ask for a 10%
up to
$2000, non- refundable retainer fee to hold your spot on our schedule.
RETAINER FEES BECOME PART OF MATERIALS DOWN PAYMENT AT PROJECT START, AND IS FORFEITED IF CUSTOMER BACKS OUT AFTER SIGNING. SCHEDULED PROJECT START DATES DELAYED BY CUSTOMER MORE THAN
90 DAYS SHALL BE CONSIDERED BACKING OUT OF
THE COMMITMENT AND IS THEN SUBJECT TO RETAINER FORFEITURE.
